This past May saw us test changes to the KV Had they proven agreeable, they would have been applied to other preferential tanks. As the feedback and testing showed, the reason you take these tanks onto the battlefield or bring them into your Garage in the first place is their preferential status and unique characteristics. In response to your comments, we went back to the drawing board to work on another round of adjustments. Here’s a look at where the current setup is falling short and how the upcoming changes address those areas. Tanks with preferential status are likely to get matched into two- or one-tier battles, where their status combined with combat parameters does more harm than good. Improve the experience for preferential tanks while keeping the preferential matchmaking parameter and their unique characteristics intact. All-around vehicle rebalances on a tank-by-tank basis combined with matchmaker rule revision.
The unit had previously fought during Kursk and in Italy with Elefants, but the number of operational Elefants had dropped to the level of just one company. The unit was then assigned to Due to mechanical problems, however, only three Jagdtigers were operational at the start of the offensive.
The tier 8 German premium tank destroyer Jagdtiger cm Pak 43 L/71 is a rock solid tier 8 tank destroyer in terms of armor and firepower. Since the Jagdtiger cm has virtually the same chassis as the tier 9 Jagdtiger it has excellent armor for a tier 8 tank and is able to shrug off an immense amount of damage thrown at the frontal armor.

The Jagdtiger was a massive machine, over ten meters long and nearly three meters tall 9ft 3in. You pay your money, you take your choices [Last Updated January 18 ] There are quite a few premium vehicles in World of Tanks, sprinkled across the various nations, classes, and tiers. As stated above; premium vehicles come in a variety of forms, and there are a few limitations on what they can be. Generally speaking and there are exceptions , premium tanks will be slightly inferior to fully upgraded tanks of the same class and tier.
They span tiers 2 to 8 and have a few special quirks; as one example, a premium vehicle can use crew trained on vehicles of the same class at no penalty. But enough of that; you can read more about them on the wiki. And finally as disclaimer; I have not personally driven all of the tanks I will be talking about.

Discuss Updated Fitting a medium-calibre gun on such a massive steel beast might look weird at first, but the Jagdtiger 8,8 proves that this combination works just great. Of course, the gameplay changes with a focus on damage per minute instead of per shot but there are also quite a lot of similarities with the regular Jagdtiger. Read on and discover more about this unconventional tank destroyer! This vehicle benefits from preferential matchmaking — you won’t see any Tier X vehicles in your matches.
Watch out when playing in a platoon: While it’s rather easy to fend off vehicles with low penetration, most Tier VIII and IX vehicles won’t have problems penetrating your lower and even upper frontal plate. A major weakness of the Jagdtiger 8,8 is its transmission, causing engine damage when hit in the frontal hull. At least, getting hit there doesn’t set the engine on fire. Now to the 8.

The Tiger II has passable armor for a tier 8 heavy tank since almost the bulk of its armor is concentrated on the upper glacis and turret front. Other areas suffer from the armor being concentrated in two main locations as the other areas are relatively weak for a tier 8 heavy tank, especially on the sides and rear. Fortunately for the Tiger II it has decent gun depression allowing it to hide its lower glacis and making it difficult for many tier 8 and under tanks that it faces to penetrate it reliably.
This guide for World of Tanks Tiger II weak spots breaks down the Tiger II into many armor zones with different thicknesses and angles associated with them.
Jul 08, · Preferential Matchmaking Chart for Premium Vehicles – posted in Current Archive: Lately, Ive noticed a couple of questions regarding matchmaking. Semel in credentis sed ego conualuit Registered: Oct 5, Posted: Wed Jun 26, 7: I actually lol’d when I got into a game in my GW Tiger: Second, I was cracking up because when I got into overhead view I thought Jimbo’s crosshairs were messed up because I literally didn’t see the edges of my reticle; after a second or so I saw it coming in from the edge of the screen I did manage to hit a couple times with the reticle at pre 8.
I didn’t play enough to decide if guns are more accurate in general. I did score some decent shots on the move with my Caernarvon but its gun was fairly accurate to begin with. I wanted to play my E with my new super-duper-deluxe spall liner but didn’t have a chance – anyone test its effectiveness yet?
Packet loss on the east coast server seemed worse but ping remained the same in the 45 – 55 range. The west coast server was much worse comparatively with – range; still low according to those down under but a huge handicap when you’re used to something 3 or more times lower. I thought I was having packet loss as well but couldn’t be certain – again, chalking it up to being patch day.

Jagdtiger Tank Tiger II continuation The biggest drawback with the interleaved and overlapping road wheel arrangements found on various German-track-laying vehicles during World War II was their design complexity and weight. No other country in World War II or in the postwar years adopted a similar system. Despite its weight of almost 70 tons, the Tiger II was powered by the same cylinder, horsepower engine that propelled the ton Panther medium tank, leaving it somewhat underpowered. This weight strained almost all the powertrain components of the German vehicle, including the steering mechanism and hydraulically operated transmission.
The Tiger II had a top speed of 26 miles per hour and a maximum range on good roads of about miles.
Sep 28, · Aschen’s Guide for the Jagdtiger – posted in German Vehicles: Aschenblumes Guide for the Jagdtiger Hello once again! Aschen here with my favorite Tank Destroyer in the game and in my opinion the BEST tank destroyer in the game. The Jagdtiger in a nutshell is a heavily armored-hardhitting-monster, with little regard of mercy for its enemies.
American As you can see, in addition to vehicles that fought, there are quite a few of prototypes, paper projects, and immediate postwar vehicles. Below the main trees are “special tanks” – on the left are premium tanks bought with real money, on the right are ones that you’ll get either with the game box, or at special events. Combat is fairly straightforward – two teams of fifteen tanks each start on opposite sides of a map, about a kilometer square. Each team starts near a flag; around a flag there is a meter circle.
If an enemy tank drives within that circle, they start accumulating capture points – if your flag is captured, you lose; unless you capture the enemy flag within 10 seconds of your own flag being captured, in which case the round is a draw. If the game isn’t over in 15 minutes, it’s also a draw. Teams aren’t restricted by nationality, tanks are freely mixed to achieve best possible balance between the two teams. The physics are somewhere between a pure arcade and a hardcore sim.
On one hand, you’re watching from outside the tank, you drive with WASD and aim including automatic turret rotation with the mouse, tanks have hitpoints, elevation is calculated automatically, enemy tanks are displayed on the minimap as long as someone on your team within radio range sees them, etc, etc. Actually, now that I think about it, it’s fairly close to physics in MechWarrior games.
Every time you fight, you earn experience and credits. Experience is used to unlock modules, and after you unlock several key modules, to progress to the next tank in line. Currently, modules you can upgrade your tanks with are running gear, engines, radios, turrets, and guns. Some modules can be used on more than one tank – for example, the German KwK 43 8.

Authored by Dan Alex. She sported a lethal main gun and was clad in heavy armor protection but suffered from excess weight and production issues leading to a slow and cumbersome machine that was underpowered for the life of her operational run. As such, her production levels reached less than 90 units and some of these were not even fitted with the intended main gun armament.
Regardless, when she found favorable conditions on the battlefields of World War 2, no Allied tank could withstand the firepower of the Jagdtiger tank destroyer. As the war in Europe raged on, German tank development proceeded at a feverish pace.

Presumably the patch itself will hit just before Christmas. This update has, as its main feature, the introduction of Japanese tanks. Onto the tanks themselves. Well, I will not be trialling them on the live server, but there are essentially two lines. Without having any experience of any of the tanks my intention is to progress up both lines, but we shall see how things go. One thing I will note is how small this introduction is.
There are even fewer tanks than in the Chinese tree. Both Quickybaby and Jingles have done overviews of the Japanese tanks.
Welcher Premiumpanzer ist aktuell der beste zum farmen?
Extremely precise gun that easily hits weakspots Outstanding reload time and consequently DPM dpm base Ability to hull down Decent armor for tier 8 Excellent view range Special matchmaking as of 8. Poor Alpha damage can not compete with “peek-a-boo” tactics, and most halfway decent players won’t just sit and let you shoot them repetitively Can easily catch on fire if hit in the lower glacis, an issue of greater concern after the precision of all guns was improved in the 8. Lower glacis plate is a known weakspot Side armor is weak Large superstructure combined with slow speed make this tank very easy for artillery to hit Specialist flank defender, requires large amounts of team support Inferior speed and traverse than a regular Jagdtiger, despite the lighter gun Having a very armoured superstructure, an accurate gun with high ROF and decent maneuverability, the Jagdtiger 88 is a deadly tank that can easily burn down many of the tanks with extreme DPM.
Most shots from tanks you face will harmlessly bounce off your upper front plate and superstructure, but your sides are very weak and your turning ability is limited. With all these in mind, tactics with this tank should change over the course of the match.

S imp ly put, we taught the matchmaker to see the difference between the Maus and JS -7, for example. Now, it balances them separately. How does it work? Along with balancing teams by vehicle classes artillery, light tanks, and tank destroyers and Platoons, the matchmaker now looks into the intended roles each tank plays in combat and ensures each side has a similar number of vehicles that play the same role. Of course, their exact number might differ, but this difference is one vehicle at the most.
The State of Matchmaking 9. By distributing them evenly between the two camps, the improved matchmaker addresses another frequent concern of yours. Medium and heavy tanks are no longer distributed randomly. With classes split into smaller groups that unite vehicles with a district play style, medium tanks with a certain role are pitted against each other.
The same with heavies.
